About Us
R Furniture by Olinda Romani & Lance Reynolds
R Furniture is a Los Angeles-based furniture company founded by designer Olinda Romani and Lance Reynolds, specializing in handcrafted Spanish Colonial, Spanish Revival, Italian Revival, Mediterranean, and Old World furniture.
With more than 100 years and three generations of artisan mastery, the Romani family creates furniture by hand in Peru, drawing inspiration from centuries of Italian, Spanish, French, and Latin American decorative traditions.
Our furniture combines historical design with traditional craftsmanship. Solid hardwood, hand carving, hand-tooled leather, decorative metalwork, painted finishes, and other artisan techniques give individual character to pieces designed for distinctive homes and interiors.
Furniture Inspired by Centuries of Design
R Furniture's collections reflect a broad range of architectural and furniture traditions, including Spanish Colonial, Spanish Revival, Spanish Renaissance Revival, Italian Revival, Italian Renaissance Revival, Mediterranean, Baroque, Gothic, Hacienda, Rococo, Tuscan, Medieval, Spanish Eclectic, and other Old World styles.
These traditions have inspired furniture for some of America's most recognizable architectural styles, from Spanish Colonial Revival homes in California and the Southwest to Mediterranean Revival residences in Florida and Italian and European-inspired estates throughout the United States.
For a closer look at one of these important design traditions, explore our Spanish Colonial Revival Furniture: History & Design Guide.
Spanish Colonial and Spanish Revival Furniture
Spanish Colonial and Spanish Revival furniture are especially important parts of the R Furniture collection. Hand-carved wooden chairs, substantial dining tables, leather seating, benches, cabinets, beds, and decorative furnishings complement the architecture of Spanish Colonial Revival, Spanish Revival, hacienda, Mediterranean, and Old World homes.
Our Spanish-inspired furniture draws upon historical forms while remaining appropriate for contemporary interiors. Traditional materials and craftsmanship help create furniture with the visual weight, texture, and character these architectural settings demand.

Handcrafted Furniture from Peru
Peru has a rich tradition of woodworking, carving, leatherwork, painting, and decorative arts shaped by both Spanish and Indigenous influences. These traditions form an important part of the craftsmanship behind R Furniture.
Our furniture is created by skilled artisans using techniques that emphasize hand craftsmanship rather than mass production. Carving, leatherwork, painted finishes, and natural variations in wood and other materials contribute to the individuality of each piece.
From hand-tooled leather chairs and carved dining furniture to hand-painted pieces, decorative mirrors, original wall art, and distinctive accent furniture, R Furniture celebrates the character and craftsmanship associated with traditional furniture making.
Furniture for Distinctive Homes and Interiors
R Furniture works with homeowners, interior designers, architects, collectors, hospitality clients, and others seeking furniture with architectural character and historical inspiration.
Our furniture has been selected for estates, haciendas, ranches, villas, hotels, bed and breakfasts, and other distinctive properties. Many pieces are available in stock and ready to ship, while custom designs are also available for clients seeking something created for a particular interior or architectural setting.
Whether furnishing a Spanish Colonial Revival residence in California, a Mediterranean Revival home in Florida, a Southwestern hacienda, or an Italian-inspired estate, our goal is to provide furniture that complements the architecture and contributes lasting character to the interior.
